JobSearch API Terms of Service

These API Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JobSearch API (the "API"), a service of GreenRobot LLC ("GreenRobot", "we", "us"). By requesting API access, you agree to these Terms.

Key Points Summary

• No Resale: You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or republish API data or bulk downloads as a stand-alone product.
• Acceptable Use: Use the API to power applications, analytics, and search experiences; do not use it for spam, harassment, scraping our download links, or building competing bulk datasets.
• Rate Limits: You must comply with rate limits and monthly credit limits associated with your plan.
• Data Retention: Retain only what you need and refresh regularly; delete expired or withdrawn jobs promptly.
• Attribution: If you publicly display job data, include reasonable attribution to JobSearch by GreenRobot.
• Security: Safeguard API keys; you are responsible for all usage under your credentials.
• Termination: We may suspend access for abuse, non-payment, or violations. You must delete data upon termination if requested.

1. License

Subject to these Terms, GreenRobot grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the API solely to integrate job data into your products or services.

2. Prohibited Uses

• Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing API results or bulk downloads as a stand-alone dataset.
• Automated scraping of our bulk download URLs or circumvention of access controls.
• Misuse that degrades service for others, including exceeding rate limits or conducting load tests.
• Using data for unlawful purposes or to violate privacy rights.

3. Rate Limiting and Fair Use

We may enforce per-minute, per-hour, and monthly limits. Do not attempt to bypass limits. Contact us for higher limits or enterprise needs.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You should refresh and purge stale listings regularly. If a job is marked expired or removed, you must update or delete it in a timely manner.

5. Attribution

Where feasible, display “Data from JobSearch by GreenRobot” and link to our site.

6. Security

Keep API credentials confidential. Notify us immediately of suspected compromise. You are responsible for activity under your key.

7. Payment and Plans

Paid plans auto-renew until canceled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or as stated (e.g., 7-day refund guarantee).

8. Changes and Termination

We may update the API or these Terms. If updated materially, we may require re-acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

9. Support

Support level depends on your plan. Premium includes priority support.

10. General

These Terms supplement GreenRobot’s general terms at greenrobot.com/terms. Where conflicts exist, these API Terms control for API use.
